We wanted to be able to dynamically notify Data Magicians when a task had completed, without them having to refresh their browser screen constantly. Implementing websockets allowed us to achieve this.

When working with data in the AgileData App we strive to remove the number of clicks for any task that needs to be done. We wanted the ability to be able to quickly get to related objects we needed in a simply magical way so that's what we built.
